Course 6: Emotional Therapy
This course is teaching you about the treatment of emotional disorders by applying a characteristic method coming from the field of Chinese medicine psychology.
The Emotion inter – restriction therapy is an ancient systemic method which is related to the field of Emotional Therapy, in Chinese called as Qing Zhi Xiang Sheng Liao Fa (情志相胜疗法).
Based on the generation and restriction process of the five elements, we can learn how to balance our emotions. It works accordingly to the principle to restrict and control an unbalanced emotion by focusing on another emotion and its functions, to help us to relieve stress and blockages in our mind.
The aim is to first learn about ourselves to receive an understanding about functions and qualities which appear caused by an unstable or excessive emotion and how to find balance using the system of this Emotional Therapy.

Course 10: The Seven Emotions in Chinese medicine
Emotional Disorders are a main reason of developing a disease. The seven emotions refer to joy, anger, melancholy, worry, grief, fear and fright which is an ancient concept from Chinese Medicine psychology. Course 11: The Jin three needle technique
The Jin three needle technique originally contains 39 groups. It is also called the three point technique. The idea is to use three needles to treat the disease. Sometimes this might not be enough, but as a basic method, the Jin three needle methods have shown good clinical results. For example in the treatment of acute pain (lumbar pain), sometimes one treatment can be enough. This acupuncture treatment method has been summarized by Professor Jin from 1979 (Guangzhou TCM University). His clinical experience and trials have been done to proof his theory. In Guangdong province, south China, this method still is very popular. The Jin 3 needle technique originally contains 39 groups. It is also called the three point technique. This course gives you an Introduction about 12 groups.

Course 13: The concept of Shen
The basic concept of shen, the generation and the function of shen are the topic of this course. According to Chinese medicine theory, the zang fu organs are filled with substances such as qi and blood. By the regulation of the viscera qi and its subtle material metabolism, life activities are generated. A colorful face, expressions in one’s eyes, speaking, manners, spirit, mood, and the pulse condition are all expressions of the external embodiment of life which is called Shen in Chinese medicine psychology.

Tim Vukan, MMed, Master of Chinese medicine at (ZCMU), founder of Wushan TCM and lecturer at Zhejiang Chinese Medical University is one of the few foreigners who has completed more than 13 years of Chinese medicine education directly in China! He is a certified Chinese medicine practitioner who has completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at Zhejiang Chinese Medical University in Hangzhou (China). He is now teaching Chinese medicine to Chinese and foreign students at ZCMU.
